“Massachusetts’ Newest Deathcore Heavy Hitters”

Deathcore is alive and thriving going into 2025! I would say it’s better than ever with both new acts and pioneers both pulling record numbers. As the genre gains momentum, we see an influx of new acts that come out the gate with a massive amount of talent and direction, and that is the perfect way to describe Massachusetts’ newest act “Destined For Doom”. GhostKiller is honored to premiere their debut single ‘Vindictive with Snakes’. 

Destined for Doom has a nostalgic deathcore vibe to them where it’s heavy and violent. Ruthless from start to finish with high screams and heavy riffs. They remind me of Thy Art Is Murder in the Holy War era. The song has some sick tempo changes that range from the heavier and brutal beatdown style riffs to even the classic blast beat over shred. One of the things that blew me away was the perfectly placed guitar solo and the other is the vocal range. The vocals sit in front of the mix so they are very in your face and the range that is shown is super impressive. 

For a band that is just starting, this is an impressive first step. The song was cohesive and kept my attention from beginning to end and leaving me wanting more. The New England metal scene has always been among the top producers of great music and I’m stoked that they have just added one more. Keep these guys in your radar moving deeper into 2025, I have a good feeling about them.
