“One of the top Nu-Metal acts of the 2020’s”

Nu-Metal is alive and well, and the kings in Heathensun are back in the GKE headlines. Heathensun are no strangers to us here at GKE, so I'll skip the pleasantries and go right into this track! ‘Deal With The Devil’ was featured in their newest album Murda Beach that came out in November of 2024. But now they’re back with a new music video for that track and it reminded me how much that song bangs! 

I listened to Murda Beach when it came out, and it was one of the sickest Nu-Metal albums to come out in recent years, but I have to say I slept on Deal With The Devil. It sits further in the album which sometimes means those songs can get overlooked. That’s why I’m glad they dropped this music video which made me have that 2nd listen with fresh ears. This track has every flavor of Nu-Metal there is, from the rapping like Beastie Boys to the heavy breakdowns like Korn. Heathensun embodies the spirit of that culture but also they have their hand in the juggalo community and sound, which is a giant market alone. This song has everything, great flow in the verses, melody in the chorus, and heaviness in the breakdowns. The chorus alone is on the modern rock side, so this song really bridges the gap of multiple fan bases! 

I see Heathensun being a huge name soon. This song proves they can have the melody and the diversity to be in the big leagues and playing the big festivals. As far as image, they have it on point. Give Murda Beach a stream and get ready to bang your head and sing along! They’ll be on tour in February so check out their tour dates and pop out to a show.
