BAND INTERVIEW: "Catch Your Breath"
2022 seemed to be the year of the best choruses in the alternative scene, mainly in the metalcore genre. With bands reaching new heights all thanks to social media grabbing onto these catchy choruses and skyrocketing the bands that wrote them into stardom. Catch Your Breath was one of those bands who had a breakout song titled ‘Dial Tone’ and it’s very safe to say it’s in the top 5 best choruses of 2022 easily, maybe even top 3. Creeping up on 5M streams on Spotify alone, The band also announced it’s signing to Thriller Records after being on InVogue records for some time. In their rise of madness, we got to ask them a few questions!
What’s up guys! Thank you so much for taking the time to answer a few questions for us! First off, how are you guys? How did 2022 treat you personally and as a band?
what up! Dude, we’re doing great! Currently in the studio working on our debut album. Personally, we’ve had some ups and downs in our personal lives. But as a band, it seems like we’ve been slowly going up and up with each move! Feels incredible!
You guys announced your signing to the awesome people at Thriller Records! How has the transition been for you guys being on a new label?
It's been the best! To be honest, they’re really great and we don’t think we could have joined a better team! They treat and take care of us really well!
Your newest single “Dial Tone” has one of the best choruses of 2022, did you anticipate it catching on with the scene and go viral like it did?
That means a lot! We all knew it would perform better than all our other songs but had no idea it would catch on as much as it has and going right now! Especially on tiktok.
Recently you went out with Atilla for the Rage tour! How was being on the road? Was that your first tour?
We can’t wait to be out on the road again! The tour was a whole lot of fun. It was everyone’s first tour experience and Attila’s Tour Manager said we were really great and awesome to work with so we think we did good!
There is so much hype around you guys after your signing announcement and the success of Dial Tone, What are your plans for 2023? New Music? More Tours?
100% we will be out on the road more for 2023 and dropping our first album! Nothing set in stone yet but a lot of things in the works! And some announced stuff too.
Now for some fun questions! When you’re out on the road, what is your go to meal AFTER the show?
That’s a tough one since we’ve only been on the road once lol but good ol reliable Taco Bell and Wendy’s or McDonald’s!
If you could say something to yourself 5 years ago, what would you say?
How to write Dial Tone hahaha
If you could build your dream tour, 4 bands + CYB, who would they be?
Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, Motionless In White and Bad Omens!
Thank you guys so much for taking the time to answer again, Is there anything you want to say to your fans or plug?
Thank you for having us! Last thing we want to say is go check out our online merch store and buy merch at our shows! We seriously can’t stress enough how vital and important it is for us and touring bands, in general. And if you’re not able to, go “Follow” us on Spotify! It’s the most important thing you can do to support an artist on that platform! Really appreciate all the support! ❤️
