There are so many sub genres in metal today. There are almost too many to count honestly. You know it’s a nice change these days to see a band just go by metal like what else could you possibly need? Well to be straightforward with you there isn’t anything else you need because the band stain the canvas gives it all to you. Recently stain the canvas has released a new single entitled Dead circus. When I saw these guys come up I got pretty excited. I've heard people talk about them and I haven’t had a chance to check them out so I was excited to finally see what people have been talking about. but let me tell you something after hearing this new single I totally regret wasting all that time not blasting them on my speakers.
Within the first second of starting of Stain The Canvas’s new single, Dead Circus you're met with an eerie music box that really sets the tone of what’s about to come. I’ve always loved creepy vibes in songs so this got me really excited. As the music box goes on you're met with the vocals and some great post production. The vocals are perfect in my opinion, the melody is great and it matches the vibe of that creepy music box very well. The song picks up and you're instantly even more hooked with demonic-like screams, heavy instrumentals, and catchy production. The verse brings you back to the intro with the music box and great melody which leads to an anthem of a chorus. I’ve always loved huge choruses and always will and this one is huge. As the song goes on you get everything you want: amazing clean vocals, demonic screams, and a breakdown that will make you rewind just to hear it again.
Stain The Canvas are a metal band from Milan, Italy. Formed in 2019 instantly taking the world by storm. In 2020 the Milan-based band dropped their first album "God Made Hell" which has amassed over 2 Million streams/views worldwide in just over a year. The band has gone to do amazing things in just a short period of time such as getting signed to InVogue Records.
To summarize, Stain The Canvas’s new single, Dead Circus is a go out and listen to it now type of song. It’s heavy, creepy, and just full on addicting. I highly recommend for everyone to add this single to their daily playlist and play it as much as possible because it’s just that good.
