SINGLE REVIEW: Homecoming - "Prime"

Homecoming was started in 2011 by songwriters Wayne Fau and Brett Stokes. After initially releasing a handful of bedroom recorded demos, they recruited members of previous bands and high school friends and went across the country to record their Debut EP “Hearts and Minds” with producer Kory Gable (Major League, I Call Fives, The Dangerous Summer). After the EP release, the band began playing several shows around the Texas area and opened for several national acts including The Story So Far, Turnover, State Champs, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, Major League, City Lights, and I Call Fives. The band announced an indefinite hiatus in 2015 as several members went off to college. 2020 marks a new beginning, as the band has announced a new full length album will be released on June 16th.

“Prime” is about how time is fleeting and you only have a certain amount of time to accomplish what you want. And the paralyzing fear that comes with that knowledge. Prime already has over 4K listens on Spotify! Homecoming gave us their first EP “Hearts & Minds” back in 2012. They took some and came back in 2020 with “Line & Sinker”. Then released their album S/T this year as well! They have had so much success and are just getting started!
