SONG REVIEW: Patient Sixty-Seven - "Feel Again (Feat. Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens)"

by Brandon Maynard

I love that metalcore Is getting more and more popular. Especially with the younger crowd starting to discover the genre and bringing a whole new generation to it. It’s honestly really nice to see metalcore hit the mainstreams and become as popular as it is now. I feel there is no better time to release new music than right now and that’s what the band, Patient Sixty-Seven did with their new single Feel Alive feat. Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens.

Within the first second of hitting play on the band’s new single, you’re met with beautiful melodic guitar and amazing vocal work. What follows is a great build up from the drums. The mixture of the melodic guitar, great vocals, and drum work honestly got me very excited for what’s about to come. And let me tell you what came next was absolutely great. After that, intro your hit with a nice big chorus. This chorus makes you want to sing along as loud as you can, trust me on that. As we go on and honestly by great surprise you're met with the vocals of Kellin Quinn from Sleeping With Sirens. I think it was a very smart move to go with Kellin as a feature on this single; both vocalists pairings really complement each other. After Kellin’s verse you’re hit with that great chorus again just hooking you even more. As the song continues both vocalists on the single go back and forth and you're met with more great guitar work and great work from the instrumentals.

Patient Sixty-Seven is a metalcore band turning heads and proving underdogs can rise above. Despite hailing from one of the most isolated cities in the world, the band's heart and polished metalcore sound - combining crushing breakdowns, ambient guitars and the two-headed vocal tandem of Tom Kiely and Rory Venville - has proven it’s more than just about where you’re from.

To summarize, Patient Sixty-Seven released an amazing new single entitled, Feel Alive. I honestly highly suggest looking the song up right now and giving it a listen. This song has easily made it on my daily playlist and has easily become a song that I abuse the replay button to.
