SONG REVIEW: Dark Divine - "Your Ghost"
Dark Divine captures the perfect mix of darkness and sinister essence in their new single, “Your Ghost”

I’ve always had a special place In my heart for theatrical bands. They are always so entertaining and put on an amazing show. I already know when I see a band all dressed up expressing themselves in such creative manners that they're going to be a great band. You know when you leave the show you'll have had an amazing experience and everlasting memories. Now I also have a love for bands that are very dark. They're creepy and eerie but captivating at the same time creating such beautiful sounds to the ears. So naturally mixing the two styles is a perfect match for me. And that’s exactly what the band, Dark Divine did: they took two amazing components and created something beautifully dark. Recently the band released a new single entitled, Your Ghost And let me tell ya. if this song was a ghost, i would let it haunt me for an eternity.
As soon as you hit play you're met with a creepy and eerie post production type instrumental with the singer bringing a raspy voice over the track setting the mood of the song very quickly. After that great intro the vocalist moves into a scream that sets the heavy instrumentals off with chuggy guitars, powerful drums and a great synth lead over it. As we hit the verse the instrumentals get a bit more bouncier but still holding that creepy vibe. The song continues and starts picking up more and more hyping you up for the chorus. When this chorus hit I honestly had to rewind it just to hear it again. Like I’ve said numerous times before I’m a sucker for a big sounding chorus and that’s what Dark Divine did with their new single your ghost. As I continued listening I fell more and more in love. This song has everything I love from dark instrumentals, great vocal work, and a nice breakdown to tie it all in.
Hailing from Orland, Florida hard rock band Dark Divine has been taking their scene and the world by storm. The band brings hard hitting instrumentals and strong vocal power to the mainstream. They currently have 3 singles out right now with Your Ghost being the newest to the collection. Dark divine has certainly mastered capturing the essence of being dark.
