Tough Luck Music signs Salt Lake City’s Classic Jack

Tough Luck Music is the newest name in the game of indie record labels. Founded by vocalist of the legacy electronic-core outfit The Bunny The Bear, Tough Luck sets to harbor artists’ visions and talents and give them the tools and platform to take the next steps in their careers. "The music industry is constantly evolving, and we believe that our approach to supporting artists will help them to succeed in this ever-changing landscape," said Matthew Tybor, the founder of Tough Luck Music. 

Being the new guy on the block is always tough, but Tough Luck came out swinging with their signing of Salt Lake City’s finest, Classic Jack. Classic Jack is a post hardcore/Metalcore act that has been in the scene since 2015 and since then has been one of the most consistent bands when it comes to releases. Having a few songs over 1M streams on Spotify, Classic Jack is the embodiment of the raw emotion that lacks in mainstream hard rock today. Their new single “Now That I Have Your Attention” is a slower but more powerful song that I think takes the band to a new place. When I said they are the embodiment of raw emotion, they really prove it with this song. Classic Jack has been one of the most underground bands that I have known about and this signing is huge not only for them but also for the label. A huge statement has been made with this release for both the band and label and this shows that Tough Luck Records has a voice and is here to stay.
